France has marked one year since a terrorist attack in the southern city of Nice killed 86


revelers during the country's Bastille Day celebrations. A Tunisian man drove a large truck into a crowd that was watching a fireworks display on July 14th last year. The dead and injured included local residents and tourists. French President Emmanuel Macron attended a memorial event on Friday, along with the families of victims and others. The remembrance was held under tight security near where the attack occurred. Macron vowed to continue fighting against terrorism and stressed that he will step up anti-terrorism measures. Many residents and tourists offered flowers and prayers at a monument that was set up near the site last month. One Muslim man who witnessed the attack said he still grieves for the victims even one year on. He added that he wants Macron to take measures to eliminate prejudice against Muslims.
